I’ve been fortunate to have excellent learning opportunities in life. Attending school at, and swimming for, Kenyon College under legendary coach Jim Steen. Studying at Indiana University and the Counsilman Center for the Science of Swimming with Dr. Joel Stager.

Currently I am coaching an Elite team that grew out of the Energy Standard ISL squad. I’ve been coaching with Energy Standard since 2017. Prior to Covid, we trained out of the Gloria Sports Arena in Turkey, but now we train in various locations around the world.

Prior to Energy Standard I worked for Swimming Canada heading a National Training Centre in Montréal, QC.

Both my parents were Olympians, representing Great Britain in the 1972 Munich Olympic Games. Sport and performance has always been part of my life.

I spend a lot of my free time running in mountains, taking advantage of my work related travel to explore some off piste sections of the world. If I can find time I like to race in the Sky Running series.

In 2019 our Energy Standard team won the inaugural International Swimming League (ISL) championship. We repeated as ISL Champions in 2021. In some ways this makes us the best swim team in the world. After years of work, not just with the athletes but getting the league off the ground, this was a great feeling.

Now I am leading my athletes towards the Paris Olympics, working with the individual athletes and their federations to make sure they are prepared as best they can be for the Olympic Games.
